PS & Co Cold Shoulder Top
I LOVE a cold shoulder top. I love the trend so much. I have hacked several patterns and RTW tops to get this look. So when PS & Co called for testers for new Cold Shoulder Top I knew I had to do this.
I am so glad I did. It’s fun and cute! With a unique detail on the top of the cold shoulder sleeve
As always, in the PS & Co patterns I am an XXL graded to a 1X for hips. I chose from my stash this gorgeous red and black floral DBP. DBP works really well for this cute top. There are several options for sleeves, I choose the long sleeve with no cuff and there are two choices for hems. I chose to hem not band the bottom. The back has a beautiful curve that covers the bum and the straight hem in the front works to make this top a bit more dressy with my fabric choice.
My favorite feature of the CC top is the gathered tie at the top of the sleeve. The pattern calls for optional button holes for the gathered ties, I used ¼ inch grommets and I LOVE the look! The only modification I needed to make was to make the casing a ¼ inch bigger to sew around the grommets. I also used this handy Hump Jumper to lift the presser foot over the grommets to keep my sewing line straight.
This is an adorable top that You can mix and match fabrics with. For instance, choose a contrast sleeve and match that with a bottom band which is included in the pattern.
